I have the tendancy to draw on any blank paper, or hell, any blank spot on paper that is already written on... Post its are very dangerous... I just can't stop... one after the other, scribbles, ideas, notes, lists... So I figured I should post some of the recent ones I had drawn... I was in the mood to draw scary people... enjoy ;)

Space Helmets
A friend comissioned a painting from me last year, she wanted herself in a space helmet... I don't normally design or draw them so it was a fun challenge... in the process I came up with many different designs... but they didn't have the mod feel she was looking for so I decided to keep some of them for later...
Here is the painting of the friend (I don't paint much) I liked how it turned out, except I wasn't overly excited about the purple.. the blue paint I was using had a lot of green in it and it came out a bit different, but I guess things often turn out a bit different than planned... (this was sometime in 2009) Thanks Kristen :)
(this is the alternate design in B&W, I liked the most... yet... she looks a little too much like Paris Hilton)... haha... not intended...
My scanner didn't pick up the color very well, I even enhanced it and am still not too thrilled with the end result...
Here she is before she was colored... not as Paris Hiltony
Here was the original alternate design... I did this in 2009 when I was working on the painting... but I didn't finish this one and color it until 2010

More Chalk Wall...
Robert Vargas
LA based Artist Robert Vargas (http://www.vargaspresents.com/) stopped by my store and asked if he could draw me on the wall... how could I refuse?
Thanks so much Robert!! It turned out great :) (although it is really odd to stand in front of on a daily basis. haha) ... I wish I could cut the wall out and take it with me!!

Newer Stuff
These are a few newer things I found... most of it is comic related so you will hopefully being seeing much more of it soon...
2009... This was going to be used in a comic but probably won't. She is FASHION GIRL... a character I created in high school.. over the years she has gone through many changes and updates... but you will see her again in a graphic novel I hope to publish within the next few years..
Also 2009... just a random alien girl
This is a random unfinished square from a comic series I've been working on since 2003... this scene is in the sewer when one of the main characters is being confronted by a homeless transexual... This series is my pride and joy and I can't wait to put it out there...
This was from a Fashion Girl comic... she is a "fashion don't" (tiny tops)

I've been working on this character for a while... I don't know where I'm going with her... she is an alien named Orpheus... you will hopefully see her in more stuff in the future...
Thanks for checkin me blog! More stuff soon!!
Old stuff
Here is some random older stuff I've done... most of it is around 2003-2004 ... I was looking through old stuff to post on here but most of it is comic related and I don't want to post it until it is all ready to put out there...
This is a comic I started about 3 random roommates because I wanted to focus more on color and visual stuff rather than storyline... the story consists of random dialogue and situations, and when I got further in it just seemed like they are all on drugs... hahah... I might rework some of this and use it again in the future...
Here is one of the pages (2004ish)
This was actually done in 2005

NERD ALERT!! This was 2003 when I was still drawing a lot of anime... I made up this vampire character named Adrian and drew about a million pictures of her... haha
I feel like Anime gets a bad rap... I guess it's because too many creepy nerds are into it, but there are a lot of really amazing films and series... (Evangelion for example) Anime has pushed the envelope for decades longer than Western Animation... Now is a great time for American cartoons... people are finally just saying "That show" (when referring to South Park or Family Guy) rather than "That cartoon"
Manga has taught me a lot about storytelling... East vs. West... taking more time to develop characters, show landscapes... they are usually more poetic and romantic, or emotionally driven and aren't afraid to be violent or sexual...

Other Misc. Kimski work...
This is the store front for the Kimski Website (www.kimski.com) I had to be crafty since the only current computer program I have is old school Paint... I know, I know... it's sad
For the Men's Section...
Women's (Model: Nanae Nishikawa)
This was for an ad in LA Weekly, simply saying "Dress yourself in Kimski"
Here is a wall I did about marionettes... I've always found something creepy and interesting about them... this time I actually tried including fashion..
Random Space Pirate Girl...
This was the first thing I did for Kimski about a year ago... it was acrylic and took about 19 hours to complete. I wanted to show the diversity of our customers and promote equality.
Space Diva
Here is another part of the Kimski Wall series... I am drawn to the lonliness of space... so I thought I would incorporate that (along with using the black wall to my advantage) I have been obsessed with space girls lately, so I thought I would make one floating in space... after several revisions (including redrawing both her arms and adding a lot more hair) I was very happy with how it turned out, it is my favorite next to the Robot Wall Here are some post it scribbles... trying to figure out how I wanted her to look
