I only started making/printing zines in 2014 but now officially have 8 different ones... I would have a ton more by now but life has forced me to wait... I tend to always feel like I could be making comics, stories etc so much faster than I do... but alas...

While these have been so much fucking fun creating they are essentially to bring new readers to my free digital comic series... now almost all of my online series have a zine.... all but one... (Green Zine #3) Below are Green Zine #1 FAT fridaze and #2 Wanita the Wheelchair Witch

Without further ado… I give you…MY 8th ZINE aka GREEN ZINE # 2 “Hell On Wheels” 

Starring: Wanita the Wheelchair Witch

I had originally planned on finishing this Zine before I moved back to LA in April but I had issues with my Wacom tablet… Special thanks to Zak for lending me his!! This Zine stars Wanita from my FREE online comic series Wanita the Wheelchair Witch, a series I started posted in 2014… I am currently working on the next 4 pages of that series and hope to post them before the years end

“Hell On Wheels” is my 2nd (of 3) Green Zines… and will be printed ASAP. As I planned my other zines out I realized I had 3 online series that were all green in their own ways… (can you guess who # 3 will star??) Pictured above is the first Green Zine FAT fridaze: “Weed Is Your Friend”…

3 New Tracks and An Exclusive Zine

Happy Valentine's Day...

Here is some stuff I have been working on...

I had some songs that I made but never posted and was really happy with them... so I finally decided to add them together... and since they have to do with love and me and love I figured what better day to post them...

If you find you have 7 minutes and 36 seconds to listen to these sounds then find a quiet spot and some headphones, close your eyes and listen at full volume

 This RED Zine is my 7th Zine but the 3rd in the DMBstudios Daniel Zine Collection. It is EXCLUSIVE because I will not be handing these out in random cities... I will only be including them in an upcoming DMBstudios Triple Zine Pack which should be available for sale sometime later in the year along with the rest of the collection. All proceeds will go to printing FAT fridaze Year one

 

I am almost finished with GREEN ZINE # 2... soon I will reveal the subject... MWAHAHAHAHAHAH

Green Zine # 1..... IS HERE!!

Just a day before gay history was made I printed out these bad boys. It was an interesting process... I hadn't drawn Adrian/Phoenix or Mews in about 9 months or so... I have missed them but needed the break after years of working on FAT fridaze.

Mews makes a smaller cameo but was the missing piece... I penciled and inked Mews on the cover but he decided to start making himself known digitally...

Then when it came to some promo shots he decided to make an appearance in the flesh... He began rolling around and being adorable in the background....

I hope you enjoy this 8 page FAT fridaze story and add it to your collection of DMBstudios zines... I will be making 2 more Green Zines as well as a 3rd Daniel Zine this year... so look out for them...

Planning on sending these to New York, Seattle, LA and San Francisco... So, look for them...

I have been filming these scenes for a couple years now... I wanted people to get a glimpse of the time it takes just to color a single image of a character... then imagine the amount of time it takes to develop, write, design, sketch, edit, ink, scan, and color it all...

I love doing what I do but it is definitely a process and can be frustrating... If the ideas could just flow out of my brain onto paper or the computer/TV screen I would have many MANY many comics and cartoons out in the world... Instead there is a filter...the ideas swirl together and eventually shoot out through my hand...

We live in a time where everything appears so instant but we sometimes forget the creative humans working behind the scenes just to bring you a story, song, or image...

Please don't spend seconds publicly bashing work that has taken possible years to create.

Permian Basin Comic Con X

When I decided to move back to West Texas I did a quick search to see what comic shops were in the area... sadly not even Dale's Planet Comics exists anymore... so I was really excited to hear the first Comic Con was happening in Odessa...

I will be bringing my old Blue DMBzine and my new Orange one... I originally premiered the 2nd one at my 30th Birthday Party... a white paper limited printing... so this is the first time I'm handing out the orange version... I hope the Con is Zine and DIY friendly... I don't exactly have a table............

Hey Zine-FEST... I'm ready fer ya!!

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN!!! LA zinefest 2014... this time I made a baby zine to hand out for free... it took a while for me to narrow shit down... but last night (or this morning rather... 4:30ish am to be exact) it all clicked together... (I'll also be bringing some "Bunny Boy" comics) WOOOO!!

DMBstudios 2014 Preview

Around December I become extra hermit-y trying to finish up drawing and inking as much as I can so I can look back someday and see a ton of my stuff with a 2013 date on it :)

I think it's really important to look back and take note of your accomplishments. I'm really happy with all the work I was able to produce in 2013... I just had to sacrifice any personal life I once had.

In 2013 I...

- Finished comic strip series "FAT fridaze: Year 2" (52 original comic strips)

-Started "FAT fridaze: Year 3" (the final year of the series)

-Debuted "TALES from Fashion City" (8 mini comics in a continuing series with characters I created a decade ago)

- Finally finished Envira III (which was started in 2011)

-Played live music for 6 months in a band (that no longer exists :(

-Recorded live music

-Produced/recorded/released 41 solo songs/sounds on Soundcloud


2014

I plan to continue FF3, TALES from Fashion City and Envira and I will be debuting a new comic series "Wanita the wheelchair Witch"

The next TALE (from Fashion City) will guest star a familiar face... I'm so glad I finally was able to make this one happen...

and lastly I will start finally animating.

Thanks, your support means a lot to me... without people reading my stories they are just sitting there gathering (digital) dust. I want to make 2014 a really great year... the more support I get the more I will be able to put into my work and the more readers etc the more professionals might take me seriously... dream? for a publishing company to come to me and want to print my stuff.
